Fundraising total for 2011

So, we’re done.

Four4aCure is over, finished, completed.

And so is the fundraising.

I set a target of £1950 at the beginning of the year. For the final push, Samuel and I went collecting last Saturday (8th Oct) at ASDA. We were there from 9.30am until 5pm, continuosly peddling on the turbo trainer and only stopping for comfort breaks (when Samuel would take over!).

It was certainly busier than the previous times we collected this year, and this was echoed in the amount we collected on the day – £621.

WOW! Thank you Sheffield!

That’s £100 more than either of the other times we collected in the summer.

And more importantly, it means we have beaten the target set for my Four4aCure challenge!

The final total raised was….. drum roll …

I have sent all the funds off to Diabetes UK. Who knows, maybe, they’ll come back with a cure……..
