Gadget fails & training schedules

Don’t you hate it when the toys let you down.

I had turned off GPS on my watch when swimming with it yesterday, and turned it back on immeadiately before I set off running tonight. Obviously this is not enough time to acquite a decent signal, as it didn’t start recording my run for a 1/4 mile. So dont believe the figures. I actually did 4 miles in the time of 35min52sec, not the rubbish shown below. Grrr!!

I have also decided this week on a training pattern for the next few months. Until it gets light enough to cycle for at least an hour after I get home from work, I need to do some other sort of training in the week. So with a view to getting ahead of myself on the triathlon training front, I am going to turn the dark mornings and evenings to my advantage. The training programme will be as follows:

Monday – Swim before work
Tuesday – Run after work
Wednesday – Swim before work
Thursday – Day off
Friday – Run after work
Saturday – Ride in the morning
Sunday – Ride in the morning

Let’s see how long I can keep it up for…? I started this last Friday, so we are five days in!!
