Back to normal

It’s that time of year when everyone talks about health kicks, detoxing, starting afresh etc.

I’ve never been one for New Years resolutions, especially when it comes to exercise. I don’t know why really. Probably because I’m generally training anyway, so I’m not really starting from scratch at this time of year.

For me, this week is more about just trying to get back into a routine. Snow, Christmas and Skiing have all got in the way. I’ve just looked back on my Garmin account and found that I haven’t riden my bike since 20th November, and I haven’t been for a run since 14th December. It was probably around then that I was last in the pool too.

Maybe my New Years resolution should be to not stop training over next Christmas…? But that’s a long way away, isn’t it.
